We all dream about finding the perfect beach. These are the five best getaways for a day on a white sand beach, next to a beautiful ocean.


5.  Frasier Island, Australia



The local Butchulla people call it K'Gari - Paradise. Do we need to say more?




4 . Puka Beach, Borocay, Philippines

Borocay is a tropical island with white sand beaches and clear blue water.




3. Matira Beach, Bora Bora, French Polynesia


Graces both sides of Matira point. The narrow peninsula makes you surrounded by turquoise sea water.




2. Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil


For those who prefers a more busy beach there is the famous Ipanema. Here you can rub shoulders with aspiring soccer players, hippies and artists soaking up sun.




1. Lanikai, Oahu, Hawaii


If you want to enjoy postcard perfection, there is no better place than Lanikai. Due to its position, on the Windward or east side of the island it is considered to be a great place to watch the moonrise over the Mokuluas, especially during the full moon.

I have to share something that I saw on "Extreme Hotels" on the Swedish channel SVT. It's a hotel where you can have a peak underneath the surface of the Indian Ocean as you wake up surrounded by the tropical marine environment!
